Serialization Tool
The Optel Vision Serialization Tool has the flexibility to function as a print control tool, a print verification tool, and a data management tool. To carry out these functions, the tool contains five independent features that can be used together or separately to fully manage serialization data originating from alpha-numeric codes and bar codes on the packaging line.

Printing of Information
The tool controls the printing/writing of information onto labels, products, or RFID tags.
Information Verification
The tool functions with the Optical Character Verification Tool to verify the fixed or variable data on labels, products, or RFID tags. If an error is detected within a code, the system responds by taking a predefined action. This inspection information is then saved within the system in a scrap list. The system also allows for access to online databases to retrieve or add product codes.
Information Storing
All acquired data and inspection information are securely stored within the system.
Information Transfer
All stored information is easily transferred to the company's database at any time.

The Optel Vision RFID Tool integrates an external RFID reader into the inspection system and carries out verification of all item-level, carton, and case applied RFID tags on-line. A window on the system's user interface provides tag readability results (ie., active and non-active tags) in real-time. These results are also securely saved within the system.
If an alpha-numeric code or bar code is written on the RFID tag, features from the Optel Vision Serialization Tool or Bar Code Verification Tool can also be easily integrated. That is, the codes' readability and integrity can be verified, and data reconciliation along with data management can be carried out.
