The Optel Vision OCV Software Tool provides high-speed inspection and verification of the placement and integrity of each character within a known alpha-numeric character string. This level of verification is achieved through a character-by-character analysis of the character string that contains fixed or variable data such as serialized codes (ascending, descending or random from an input file).
Since the system "knows" what each character should be and where it should be located within the string, a quality threshold can be set to ensure that the complete integrity of each character, and the complete integrity of the printed character sequence are always maintained.
The size of characters that the tool accommodates is dependent on camera resolution and the field of view. For example, under "good" conditions the tool is able to inspect and verify characters as small as 1/5 mm, and under "excellent" conditions, this value would be even smaller.
This tool also supports all Windows' fonts through a preloaded font library and can support additional fonts through its "Font Teach" function.
